DIMITRA BISTA

Dimitra  Bista  is  an  Athens  based  visual  artist.
For  the  past  years,  Dimitra  Bista  has  been  creating  large-scale  ink     drawings  on  paper.  Structure,  repetition  and  continuity  are  the  inherent  elements  on  Dimitra  Bista's  work .  As  she  explores  structures  of  natural  world  she  transforms   them  in  such  ways , in  order  to  create  wider  morphologies  detected  in  space,  earth,  nature,  society, all  these  that consist   an unbroken whole,  a  cosmos.  Her  artistic  process  combines dynamic and energetic  gestures  of automatism  on one  hand  and  on  the  other  a  time  consuming  procedure,  similar  to  a cogitation practice.  Relying  on  her own  spiritual  intuition  she  is  forming  a whole that is unbroken and  interminable.
